Who We Are
Rick Carr
Head Coach and Founder
Coach Rick Carr is the founder and head coach of Huron Athletics, a USATF Track & Cross Country club established in 2012. He also coaches the boys and girls varsity cross country teams at Campo Verde High School.
With decades of experience, including roles at Eastern Michigan University and Carman-Ainsworth High School, he has coached national champions, USATF Junior Olympic qualifiers, and Boston Marathon-caliber road racers.
A former NCAA Nationals qualifier and decorated distance runner, Coach Carr combines data-driven training, athlete development, and a passion for the sport to help runners reach their full potential.
Andrew Salcido
Assistant Coach
Coach Andrew Salcido is an assistant coach with Huron Athletics and Williams Field High School. Mentored by Coach Rick Carr since 2017, Andrew has coached at the high school level across Arizona and is passionate about supporting athletes of all levels.
He is also the founder of RunAllDay, a coaching, media, and podcast focused on mindset, strength, and recovery for endurance athletes. The podcast aims to elevate the running community across Arizona by sharing stories and recognizing talent from all corners of the sport.

With a background in teaching and learning design, Coach Andrew combines structure, motivation, and intentional growth into his coaching.
